Moringa Properties

Every part of the Moringa tree is said to have beneficial properties that can serve humanity. People in societies around theworld have made use of these properties...

Antioxidants and Anti-inflammatory Properties:

Moringa Oleifera leaves contain over 46 Antioxidants and have scored as high as 157,600 ORAC Value, making it one of the top 10 antioxidants in the world.

As with most foods, heating Moringa above 140 degrees Fahrenheit destroys some of the nutritional value. This is why we process our Moringa in a low oxygen vacuum chamber with precise temperature controls to avoid the contamination of air-drying and preserve the essential nutritional content.

What are antioxidants?

Antioxidants are vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that repair and protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Many Scientists believe this damage plays a negative role in a number of chronic diseases. Free radicals can also interfere with the immune system because it forces the body to work harder to get rid of free radical junk. Fighting off damage with antioxidants helps keep your immune system strong, so you are better able to ward off colds, flu, and other infections.

Antioxidants for Immunity:

Where to find them eat more raw fruit and vegetables of any kind! Some foods are higher in antioxidants than others. Moringa contains high levels of many antioxidants Vitamins aren’t the only antioxidants in food: Those found in Moringa are:

With Moringa’sZeatin, new skin cells growat a faster rate than old skin cells die. This results in a marked reduction of look and feel of wrinkles on the face andother parts of the body, and a more youthful skin appearance)

ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS
L-Isoleucine: Regulates and stabilizes blood sugar and energy levels in the body. A deficiency in Isoleucine can lead to symptoms similar to hypoglycaemia or low blood sugar.
L-Leucine:  Protects muscles and is a fuel for the body when working with the amino acids Valine and Isoleucine. Also, Leucine is the most effective amino acid at causing insulin secretion from the pancreas.
L-Valine: Known as a wonderful source of energy for all bodily functions. Also, maintains the metabolism of muscles, proper nitrogen balance and repairs tissues.
L-Lysine: Lysine is very important in the formulation of proteins needed in muscles and bones. It also has been shown to be effective in reducing the effects of flus, colds and herpes virus.
L-Methionine and Cystinethe body’s primary source of sulfur is Methionine. Sulfur assists in the growth of hair, skin and nails as well as increases the production of lecithin in the liver. Lecithin helps to reduce cholesterol and liver fat.
L-Tryptophan: Tryptophan is used by the body to assist in making Vitamin B3 – Niacin, Serotonin and Melatonin. Niacin is needed for normal gastrointestinal and nerve processes. Serotonin acts as a calming agent in the brain. Melatonin is crucial in regulating sleep.
L-Phenylalanine and L-Tyrosine: Functions on the memory system and learning processes. Used to treat rheumatoid arthritis.
L-Threonine: Helps to maintain body’s proteins in balance. Studies show that threonine treatment is effective easing symptoms attributed to Multiple Sclerosis.
Histidine: An essential amino acid for children, promoting growth and development. Required for the generation of red and white blood cells.

NON ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS

Alanine– Arginine – Aspartic Acid – Cystine – Glutamic Acid – Glycine – Histidine – Serine – Proline

MINERALS
Calcium, Chloride, Chromium, Copper, Fluorine, Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Selenium, Sulfur, Zinc and more…

All Omegas 3, 6, & 9

Moringa contains the full spectrum of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, known as the omegas. In fact, ounce for ounce dried Moringa leaves contain 10 times the omega 3′s found in salmon.

Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid that plays an important role in cell health, blood clotting, immune function, and inreducing inflammation throughout the body – in blood vessels, joints, and elsewhere. Eating foods rich in omega 3fatty acids can help lower the risk of diseases such as heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, stroke, cancer, depression,as well as lower LDL or “bad” cholesterol. Omega 3s, like omega 6s, cannot be produced in the body; They must beobtained by dietary sources.

Omega 6 is an essential fatty acid thought to reduce the risk of heart disease, lower total cholesterol levels, specifically targeting “bad” LDL cholesterol, while raising “good” HDL cholesterol levels. Omega 6 may also reduce therisk of some forms of cancer.

Omega 9 fatty acids, commonly known as monounsaturated fatty acids, offer important health benefits. Research hasshown that Omega 9s are protective against metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease. Because Omega 9 fattyacids have been shown to increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol and decrease LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, they play animportant role in reducing plaque build-up in the arteries, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

BIOAVAILABILITY
Absorption and bioavailability of whole plant minerals is greatly increased compared to minerals when taken individually or from synthetic sources, because of the synergistic effects of the complete nutritional makeup.

Calcium - Up to 8.79 times more bioavailable.

POWERFUL NUTRITION

  • Powerful Antioxidant to Protect against Free Radicals

Antioxidants play an important role in inhibiting and scavenging free radicals, providing protection to humans against infections and degenerative diseases. Moringa Oleifera powder is very high in antioxidants Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene), Vitamin E, and Vitamin C which help to reduce damage to cells and DNA caused by free radicals.

  • Helps Support a Healthy Immune System

The World Health Organization and United Nations have recognized Moringa for its ability to support a healthy immune system and it is prescribed for HIV/AIDS patients in Africa where expensive antiviral drugs are often difficult to obtain. The leaves are known for their anti-bacterial properties, which help with opportunistic infections that sometimes appear in immune suppressed patients.

  • Supports Increased Energy and Concentration

Moringa is a natural energy booster that has been used by martial arts instructors and professional sport trainers to extend their physical regimen even, after their muscles are fatigued. World renowned fighter Manny Pacquiaois a big supporter of Moringa and takes Moringa leaves before every fight.

  • Helps Support Stable Blood Glucose levels

Long known for its ability to help with blood sugar levels in traditional folk medicine, many scientific studies have recently shown the ability of Moringa  Oleifera leaves to lower blood sugar within 2 hours of ingestion.

  • Helps to Maintain Healthy Cholesterol levels

Cholesterol is an important part of every cell structure and is needed for proper brain and nerve function. In several studies, Moringa has shown to play a role in lowering high cholesterol, which when too high, can lead to heart disease including heart attack and stroke. Preliminary research has shown Moringa can help reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) levels.

  • Promotes Cardiovascular Health & Optimal Organ Function

According to a 2007 article in the “Phyto-therapy Research,” Moringa leaf extracts have been shown to exert a stabilizing effect on blood pressure. Moringa leaves contain substances, such as thiocarbamate glycosides, nitrile and mustard oil glycosides that help lower blood pressure.
